What is AR?

What is AR?

Augmented Reality (AR) is redefining how artists and viewers interact, but most people are still unaware of how this technology works.

Hold up your phone to artworks with the AR symbol (an eye icon). Try to capture as much of the artwork in your camera frame as possible – making sure to stand somewhere safe.

Visual elements, sound and other sensory information will be overlaid onto the device creating a rich experience where the digital information alters how you perceive the artwork.

AR makes the art experience feel more like a collaboration between a viewer and artist.
