About the Trails
Discover a vibrant and captivating world of local art on fabulous local Art Trails in Margaret River, Cowaramup and Prevelly, with Augusta soon to follow. Immerse yourself in a diverse array of artistic expressions, where every brush stroke and each sculpture tells a unique story.
It’s a diverse and growing collection of more than 54 artworks in a region known for the arts. Featuring over 43 artists and community groups, the trails idea emerged as a way to let us delve deeper into our exciting street art and shine a light on the immense creative talent in the region.
With several fabulous trails to explore, there is something for everyone – whether you’re a seasoned art collector or simply enjoy dipping your toes into the creative realm. From quirky murals painted onto fibreglass cows in Cowaramup, to life-like whale murals in Augusta, there is plenty to explore, so don’t be afraid to venture off the beaten track.
The trails include Shire and privately commissioned artworks, all in the public space.

The Margaret River HEART – Nala Bardip Mia (Our Story House) is a creative hub hosting art exhibitions, live performances, creative workshops and cinema. With programming by Arts Margaret River, there is a diverse program of events spanning visual arts, movies, theatre, dance and more!
The Shire of Augusta Margaret River are also proud to host the annual Margaret River Region Open Studios event, which sees over 150 artists throw open their studio doors for art-inquisitive visitors to have a peek into their creative worlds.
